CRAFCO joint filler

CRAFCO joint fillers (hot melt joint fillers) have been manufactured for more than 30 years, becoming pioneers in the industry. These machines are designed for heating and applying hot sealants (polymer-bitumen and rubber-bitumen mastics) when performing work on filling cracks and joints in asphalt and cement concrete pavements.

CRAFCO’s SuperShot series joint fillers are machines with a fully automatic workflow control system.

Advantages of Super Shot:

• Electric heating of the hose and applicator up to the tip (24 volts).
• No taps or valves in the mastic supply line.
• Adjustment of the mastic supply with a potentiometer.
• Mastic supply by a high performance pump.
• Automatic control of thermal oil heating.
• Single fuel type for the drive motor and burner (diesel), except for the SS 60 model (propane).
• The agitator automatically shuts off when the material is loaded.
• The agitator rotates along the vertical axis.
• Self-cleaning pump protective screen
• Compressor for connecting a “heat spear” and blowing out cracks.

The mastic is heated in the boiler by indirect heating of the boiler (oil jacket). The automated system allows you to set and maintain the required (optimal) temperature of the material and thermal oil. All parameters are displayed digitally on the control panel. The electric heating of the hose allows for the application of mastic without its hardening in the supply line, which greatly facilitates the operator’s work. If the hose or material has not reached the required temperature, the system will not automatically start the feed pump to prevent technological errors (human error).

The most efficient operation of machines is facilitated by the absence of lines under constant pressure. There are also no valves, and the number of moving parts is minimized. It takes about 45 minutes to prepare the machine for ex-operation.

The SuperShot joint filler is available with boiler volumes of 227 and 473 liters, with a choice of various additional options (compressor, self-propelled drive on the front wheel).
