Crack repair is performed to prevent the destruction of their edges and restore the integrity of the coating. The most effective way to repair cracks is rehabilitation – treatment and filling of cracks with polymer-bitumen or rubber-bitumen mastics. During crack sealing, the mastic must tightly and elastically fill the gap formed in the asphalt concrete layer, preventing its further destruction from the effects of traffic, precipitation and temperature changes.
The sooner the cracks are repaired, the lower the costs of road maintenance. This allows contractors to reduce the cost of warranty maintenance of the constructed road, and the customer to optimize the use of budget funds.
