Subsidence and significant loads, which in turn lead to deformation of the railroad track, are the main reason for speed restrictions in certain areas and the need for expensive repairs. Tensar offers an effective, inexpensive and proven engineering solution – mechanical stabilization of the ballast prism using geogrids. Reinforcement of the ballast layer significantly reduces deformation and also allows to reduce the thickness of the protective layer while maintaining high load-bearing capacity.
