Poraver is a lightweight filler based on foamed glass.
Poraver filler allows you to:
– create unique materials: heat and reflective paints;
– improve the properties of formulations by reducing the amount of condensation;
– reduce the thermal conductivity of materials, improve the sound insulation properties of coatings;
– save titanium dioxide consumption in formulations;
– reduce the weight of decorative and textured coatings, improving their properties;
– to create improved anti-corrosion and abrasion-resistant coatings by introducing microspheres into them;
The maximally rounded shape allows to achieve lower viscosity, better distribution and application during spraying. For the production of thermal insulation paints, it is recommended to use Parover. The volume fraction of microspheres in the formulation of heat-saving paints is quite large – up to 50% by volume.
When using calcium carbonate as a filler, it is recommended to replace it all in the formulation with Parover, since most common fillers used in the production of paints and varnishes (talc, calcite, calcium carbonate) have a rather high thermal conductivity compared to Parover. For comparison, the thermal conductivity of Parover is 0.08 W/mK, which is much lower than the thermal conductivity of calcium carbonate (3.89 W/mK).
The introduction of Parover allows you to create a barrier between the cold wall and moist air, preventing condensation, and also improves the durability of the paint during repeated washing, for example, in the bathroom.
The replacement of conventional fillers (e.g., calcium carbonate) allows you to create mixtures that effectively reflect both visible (light) and infrared (heat) radiation.
It makes sense to introduce Parover in the production of facade paint or road marking paint in order to give it better resistance to abrasion, higher hardness, and improved abrasion resistance.
