Crafco’s jet-injection patching technology is by far the most cost-effective and sustainable patching method available today.

MAGNUM allows one operator to quickly and efficiently repair the pavement without any special preliminary preparation of the site.

The workflow consists of four operations

  • cleaning the repaired surface from dirt and moisture with an air jet
  • undercoating it with bitumen emulsion
  • filling the repaired area with a mixture of crushed stone and emulsion
  • sprinkling it with dry rubble

No compaction with a roller or vibrating plate is required, which allows for the opening of vehicular or pedestrian traffic almost immediately after completion of the work. The design of the plant allows the bitumen emulsion to be heated both in stationary (standby) mode from the mains and in working mode by circulating the engine coolant.

The three-section boom provides a working area of up to 119 m². This technology allows you to preserve the road surface, and the MAGNUM will be an ideal addition to your existing road repair and maintenance equipment.

Advantages of the MAGNUM:

  • Working area up to 119 m²
  • The balanced boom of the working body is controlled with a force of less than 0.5 kg.
  • The stone material is fed from the plant’s intake hopper to the air jet pickup zone by augers, which eliminates interruptions in the supply of crushed stone for the preparation of the mixture and ensures its high homogeneity.
  • The quick-release tailgate of the plant is mounted instead of the standard dump truck tailgate and provides the supply of stone material to the receiving hopper of the plant using two hydraulically controlled augers.
  • The ability to create an optimal combination of the amount of stone material and the speed of the air jet to ensure minimal “bounce” of crushed stone from the treated surface, to save material.
  • In the process of preparing the repair mixture in the plant, the emulsion is fed through 12 nozzles located around the entire inner circle of the nozzle, thereby creating a “cloud” of bitumen emulsion, passing through which the crushed stone is 100% enveloped in the emulsion. This scheme saves up to 30% of bitumen emulsion and ensures high quality of the repaired areas.
  • The capacity of the MAGNUM plant is up to 115 kg of ready-mix per minute.
  • The bitumen emulsion is supplied by the overpressure generated in the emulsion tank, not by a bitumen pump.
  • These models have been in operation in Ukraine since 2008.
