Uniaxial geogrids RE
Tensar® uniaxial (RE) geogrids are made of special high-density polyethylene (HDPE), they are integrally oriented and designed to resist tensile creep under long-term loads. These geogrids are also very resistant to damage during installation and laying and to long-term chemical or biological attack. Given the inert properties of HDPE resins, they can be designed for use with a variety of backfill materials, including native soil and recycled concrete.
Tensar RE geogrids can withstand high tensile loads applied in one direction. These geogrids are produced by drawing a homogeneous polymer sheet to create a homogeneous product that does not require weaving or welding to maintain structural integrity. This results in superior bond strength, ensuring a secure connection to other areas of the installed geogrid.
